On Tuesday July 10 Turner Classic Movies continues its celebration of the film career of Leslie Howard who, in a single decade, made as many successful films — and gave as many outstanding performances — as many actors do only in long lifetimes.
My pick on the 10th is It’s Love I’m After, a comedy with a theatrical setting . He and Bette Davis make a refreshing romantic team. But if you’re ready for more of the strong offbeat team of Howard and Bogart, you will not want to miss The Petrified Forest from Robert E. Sherwood’s play. Howard and Bogart repeat their stage roles. Bette Davis plays Gabrielle.

NEXT POST July 13.
See you at the movies,
